This year Logan and Rileigh are 9 years old so they had to compete in the 9-12 year old category. We told them last year was their year and this year would be tougher to compete. Our little friend Haylie White came along with us this year too, which was super fun! Rich and I were so impressed with her and each run she got faster and better since they were given an hour to practice prior to the competition starting. We decided to leave Nellie with the White's this year and next year let her compete.
The girls got so hot they un-layered down to their t-shirts!
Ready to compete, Haylie, Rileigh and Logan
Haylie and Rileigh had to compete not only against snowboarders in their age group but snowboarder girls too-not fair :(
Lookin' good Logan. Logan was competing against just snowboarders in his age group.
Hay-Bug took 3rd Place, I was so proud. It is Kind of a BIG DEAL! She won $150 worth of goods-ski socks and a super cute beanie. Rich and I tried to tax her and take some of her winnings and she was not having it!
Logan took second place and won a new green helmet, he needed a helmet too! I love new "free" gear! Maybe next year he'll win braces for that mouth full of teeth. A Mom can dream. Love you guys and I am so proud of you.
This is my proud mom moment when I tear up seeing the kids compete by showing off their skiing and snowboarding talents. Did I mention that I love this day. We pulled Rileigh aside when it was all over and told her how proud we were of her and asked if she was sad she did not place. She totally shrugged it off and was so happy for Haylie and Logan. That's my girl!
Can't wait for next year 2014. The twins will be 10 and Nellie will be 5....CrAzY!

I meant to say the girls had to compete against "skiers" and snowboarders in their group, not fair! I hate blogspot it would not let me edit
