Guest Blogger...Mandy Wallace {Ladies Ski Day}

We did it! Finally, after years of begging, I convinced some of my non-actively skiing friends to get back on the horse! (Ok, to give credit to Amberlee- SOME of you ski regularly, but most haven't been since FOREVER!) It took a lot of convincing, but was SO worth it in the end. We had a perfect day! Just a bunch of old hens, clucking away. BEAUTIFUL weather, awesome food at the lodge, and of course, a few great photos. Thanks ladies. It was so much fun. We need to do it more often.

P.S.- Oh, and of course it wouldn't be the full Snowbasin experience unless they got to try out ALL the lifts, even the tram. Oh, you should have seen their faces when they got off at the top. I thought someone might throw me over the edge they were so terrified (and mad)! But we all made it down, quite gracefully I might add. CUDOS to such brave, amazing, terrific friends!

BTW- I swear we got a picture at the top of Strawberry, too. Who took that one? Can someone send it to me, please?!?

BTW(again)- missed you Chow :(

The Launch of Vinyl Forest!

A year ago we hosted a vinyl party at our house. That entailed me hosting and coming up with treats to eat and Rich doing the rest. We had awsome support and a great party. On a whim Rich put together a pamphlet, (let me know if you would ever like one). He is very talented at what he does and has a great flair for interior decor ideas.

So long story short he followed through as promised and a website was born. Big Kudos go to Lisa and Chase his designers, for the creation of the website and the vinyl design.

So check out my new button on the right and please let us know if there are any tips or changes you think need be applied.

Soon to follow pics of some vinyl applied in various homes.

The Wannabe Rednecks

So the boys took off for the weekend to attend to some cars that only turn LEFT. I have been kept well informed of the goings on of this blessed event through that of today's technology. There was a lot of texts with "TMI" Too much information and "LOL." So long story short they have had a great time and will be home shortly.
It just so happens that the rednecks run through the Thatcher side of the family as they just so happen to run into some cousins that were too partaking in this event and have done so for many years, Who Knew?
I have been pleaded with to partake in the happenings of this weekend and have willingly passed up the offer. Then on the phone today, there were pleads from a distant cousin, "Come next year okay?" Um, I think I would rather stay home with three rotten kids then watch rednecks make fools of themselves. (I hear the parking lot is a hoot for spectators, it is it's own Sport in and of itself!)
I will admit I am a bit jealous of shorts and t-shirts...maybe a promise of Vegas shopping and sight seeing will get me there next year!

Thrifty Me Part II

So with the price of Gas and the so called rise in Wheat what a better way to save then the local Food Co-op, Bountiful Baskets! Now I just need to purchase a cow to keep the Nellster's happy with her daily intake of milk.
The Grapefruit on the right is the size of Nellie's head, I just hope it tastes as good as it smells.

Grand total $30
$15 for fruit/veggies
$15 for 5 loaves of bread

Any tips on what to do with Turnips is appreciated, thanks.
