Sickness, Water, Wind, and Pure Funness!

So spring Break has come and gone...

There were some tentative plans at hand, but we are fly by the seat of our pants kind of folks and things never ever go as planned.

So this and this were so sick over Spring Break, so sad.

The black one was so, so, so sick that she got two vet visits in a span of three days. Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny sat up and cried themselves thinking that the Gert Dog would not make it through the night to see what the Easter Bunny had brought her in the morning. She was lying death, we even had a burial plot in mind and a quick call to the vet to end what was a beautiful dogs life. We felt selfish letting her suffer one more day.

Then Wa La within days she was playing catcher in the neighborhood game of baseball, she is a champ and has lived to see more days of this existence. However, she is a walking, breathing, and eating tumor. But let's face it what dog is not full of tumors. The large mass tumor will take her some day but the black dog pulled through to see more of those days! What a Champion!

So we continued the Break with Clearfield Aquatic Center.
Nellie bellied up under water more than once and I went with good intentions to keep my hair dry, no such luck.

We ventured another day to the land of Chuck E Cheese. That Chuck he was avoiding my kids like the plague they stalked the poor guy the whole 15 minutes he was out and about. It wasn't crowded and my kids loved it. So now I don't have to hear any longer, "when can we go to Chuck E Cheese?" I have tried to avoid for so long.

Then when the weather turned in our favor we played hookie from school and made our way to Baby Animal Days, it was a blast and we hit it on a good day for sure!

Nellsters loved it!

I lost Logan like three times while there. He was getting the homemade snicker doodles at the cabin from the poor pioneer lady that was kneading the dough and sweatn' to death next to her wood burning stove.

Rileigh decided she would ride the pony this year.

I have enjoyed doing the toddler stuff all over again with Nellie. She knows all her animal sounds and is constantly telling us them as we drive down the road and she sees a horse, cow or sheep. It is so cute and cracks me and the kids up every time. Her dog noise is to breathe through her nose I guess that is how a barking dog sounds to her!

Rileigh decided for her Imaginations Project to take some pics of waterfalls. Good idea, I said, we can hike Adams Canyon! I hiked it as a kid (high school) at least twice a month and I have never taken Rich up there before. So we loaded Nellie in the baby pack grabbed a Niece as a helping hand and did not forget the dog. It was so windy and some fellow hikers said once inside the canyon the wind would subside. So it did and we had so much fun and the kids did so good.

Once we got close to the waterfall we were then warned by some hikers coming down to turn around because big chunks of snow were falling off the mountain side. So Rileigh got some pretty good shots of a bridge and the stream, better luck next time we'll make it to the waterfall for sure!
