It's a NEW YEAR!

As a family, just the five of us, spent New Year's Eve home. It was very pleasant. Except for the occasional pause to catch puke in a towel. The Nellsters was not well and hung on the couch watching Dick Clark fumble his words. I think he totally talked at her level so she rather enjoyed it.

Rich made us homemade pasta with different toppings. It was so good. My favorite was the sauteed mushrooms with garlic and fresh parmesan cheese! He spoils us.

January 15th Logan wanted to compete in Powder Mtn's Grom Fest. He got a new board for Christmas, more of a park board and more his size. His age range of Competitors was 7 - 12. Kind of a bummer, because he tore it up for a 7 yr. old.

So Logan did not place but it was a good confidence builder for the kid in the world of Snow Boarding. We are so lucky to live where we do. Some parents brought there kids from out of state and were die hard "Go kill'em" yellin' kind of folks. That is crazy. Rich said there were people from NewPort Beach and Evanston, that is crazy. Logan got the t-shirt and had a great day. Rich got to sit around and watch for hours. I stayed home to work (wink, wink) I was trying to put together Rich's 35th Birthday Surprise Party.

The big 35th Birthday Boy Surprise! It was changed due to weather conditions. We had a warm front that came through and had given us a rain storm. Rich had taken his Birthday off and sat home whining over the poor snow conditions. So rather than roast hot dogs up at Pow Mow for his b-day we changed it to the Whitemyer's drive-way. But no, more rain, so then it got moved into my house. So the poor guy helped with his own dang party and we grilled dogs on the grill....good times indeed.

Featured below a t-shirt quilt made for Rich. The Quilt was literally 4 years in the making. The final product was completed with my Mom's fine work. She called and asked me if I was on crack when I pieced it together. Ha ha Mom, I tried.
Happy Birthday Big Boy. You gotta stop eating McDonald's every night on your way home because with age it is gonna catch up to your skinny a**, I mean backside.

*A shout out to my biggest fan, Grandma Adams! Rich's Grandmother in Ohio.

Grandma, Rich says thanks for the card and money!
